Welcome to O Chem Unlocked, where we’re dedicated to making Organic Chemistry more accessible, understandable, and achievable for students. Organic Chemistry is often seen as one of the toughest subjects for students, but we believe with the right guidance and resources, it can be mastered.
We created this platform to help students conquer the subject in a way that’s clear, straightforward, and stress-free. Our video courses, led by experienced tutors, break down the complex topics into digestible lessons and offer practical strategies for retention and success. We know firsthand how overwhelming Organic Chemistry can feel, and our mission is to change that.Â
Meet Joe De Luca
Joe De Luca has been tutoring Organic Chemistry for 16 years and is a firm believer that the class needs to be more approachable. Joe had the “typical O Chem experience” in the sense that his professor bluntly told his class on the first day that most of them would fail the course, and sure enough 80% of the class dropped by the end of O Chem 2. Joe preemptively taught himself most of the first semester of Organic Chemistry the summer before taking the class, and developed tricks to quickly retain the info and be successful on exams. He received his degree in Biology from Southwestern University and received an A+ in both semesters of Organic Chemistry, including a rare perfect score on the ACS standardized exam for Organic Chemistry. Ever since completing the class, Joe has tutored students and taught them how to slay the O Chem dragon in the most efficient, painless way possible.
Over the past 16 years, Joe has tutored hundreds of students and has helped them pass the O Chem checkpoint on their journeys to medical school. Let’s make you another one of those success stories!
