Hey, I’m Joe De Luca- and I’ve been tutoring Organic Chemistry for over 15 years. Will this help if I’m already behind?

Absolutely. O Chem Unlocked was built for students who feel behind or overwhelmed.

Do I need the textbook?

Not necessarily. You can succeed with the lessons alone, but they also align well with the most common textbooks if you like to double up. I recommend using the videos and practice exercises as your first stop, and then going to the textbook for extra practice problems to really lock the concepts in.

Will I actually learn- or just memorize?

Both, but in balance. Professors love to say “Don’t memorize,” but that’s not realistic. You need both memorization and understanding, and I’ll show you how to connect the two so the material sticks.

What if I hate chemistry?

Perfect. You’re my ideal student.
You don’t need to love O Chem- you just need to beat it. I’ll help you do that with structure, clarity, and a lot less panic. You’ll stop feeling like you’re banging your head against the wall wondering, “Why isn’t this clicking?”

What if I keep making mistakes in the practice problems?

Then you’re doing it right. Mistakes are the best teachers. The goal is to make all your errors here- in a safe, judgment-free space- so you don’t make them on the exam. I’ll even show you the most common “tricks” professors pull, so you see them coming from a mile away.

How fast will I see results?

Many students notice a difference after a single weekend of working through the videos. The key is consistency- every section you complete builds momentum and confidence.

What if I’m bad at science?

You’re probably not bad at it- you’ve just had bad explanations. My job is to translate “professor language” into English and give you a structure that makes sense. Once that happens, everything changes.

Can I use this for the MCAT?

Due to the nature of the subscription, with full access being available as soon as you sign up, we are not able to offer refunds. We highly recommend checking out the sample videos before signing up to make sure that the style and content match what you're looking for. If you decide after your first month with the subscription that it's just not the right fit for you, you can cancel at any point with no fees or penalties.
